Info
fpPS4 is an open source PS4 emulator project written in Java and C# for Android and iOS, compatible with smartphone and tablet devices.
This application is compatibility layer for the PS4 developed by red-prig.
Highlights
The goal of this emulator is to experiment, research, and educate on the topic of emulation of modern devices and operating systems.
fpPS4 first public demo was the first to launch Play Station 4 commercial games.
It recompiles all the shaders, untiling all the textures and upload all the buffers every frame, making it less efficient.
All information is obtained via reverse engineering of legally purchased devices and games and information made public on the internet.
Releases are currently tested by our team on desktop computer with:
- GPU: Andremo 630
- CPU: SnapDragon 870 octa-core 2.3 GHz
- RAM: 8 GB
It uses OpenGL and Adreno driver as its back-end API renderers and runs most of the PS4 exclusives on high-end machines with some glitches as it is still in beta.
fpPS4 emulator is capable of many great things, thanks to the developers and supporters who are contributing to this PS4 emulator project.
The team are still on a long road to achieve good emulation performance, but they are working hard to make the best Play Station 4 titles playable.

The hardware requirements for running the application vary depending on your current configuration.
Our recommended specifications don’t guarantee perfect performance in most games, but rather strive to provide a cost effective recommendation while still considering performance.

We cannot guarantee the performance of system specifications lower the recommended requirements but you’re always welcome to experiment.

How to install
On Android
- Download file on the link button
- Open a file manager
- Select the folder containing the downloaded file
- Open the file .apk
- Press install button
- Download BIOS files (part 1 and 2) from this link: BIOS Package
- Download DATA files (part 1 and 2) from this link: DATA Package
- Create the following directory in your device: /android/data/com.cobesoft.build22/
- Create a sub folder named BIOS
- Copy the BIOS file (part 1 and 2) on the bios directory
- Create a sub folder named DATA
- Copy the Data .obb file (part 1 and 2) on the data directory
- Launch the app
- Select the Extract button to build all data
- Restart the application to complete the installation
If you receive the error “x0er00cx: DATA or BIOS not found” try downloading the data or BIOS files another time; the files may be corrupted during download.
Applications need to access certain devices systems: as soon as an application is installed, you will be informed of all the permissions it requires.
On iOS
You can install this application on iOS devices (iPhone or iPad) with AltStore (no jailbreak is required).
AltStore app requires a Windows or Mac computer for the initial installation of the AltServer software.

- Download AltServer on your computer (Windows or Mac OS)
- Install AltStore to your iPhone (or iPad)
- Launch AltStore to begin downloading apps
- Leave AltServer running, and AltStore will do the rest

New features
This version implements the following features:
- Statically linked binary with no dependencies except GL and SDL2
- Additional rightstick keys for laptop keyboards
- Support simple compute shader, compute ring, cube maps
- Use Direct Input to emulate pad
- Improved RAM management system (for Android only)
All the updates have the latest fixes and optimizations, but their constantly changing nature means that little testing has been done on them and unknown bugs may appear.
Install games
You can play games on this emulator by following these simple steps:
- Download games files with compatible format (.pkg)
- Move the game file on the selected folder in settings menu
- Refresh the game feed
fpPS4 emulator is capable of running most commercial games at full speed, provided you meet the necessary hardware requirements.
Some games may be delayed or flashback in the process of running.
This may be related to the performance of the mobile phone, or it may be related to other unknown factors.
Update
There will be frequent updates which you can grab from the download section.
This application is from a third-party developer, so an automatic update won’t be available.
You will need to manually update the app by removing the old version and installing the new version.
All the updates have the latest fixes and optimizations, but their constantly changing nature means that little testing has been done on them and unknown bugs may appear.
